The Town Emergency Management Team is monitoring a strong storm impacting our area overnight. Residents should be aware of the potential for flooding of small streams and flood prone roads. Scattered power outages are likely. Drivers are warned to avoid driving through standing water and to treat all downed wires as energized and dangerous. Minor to moderate coastal flooding is expected during high tide periods at 3 am and 3:30 pm Monday. Beach neighborhood residents in flood prone areas should move vehicles to higher ground. Veterans Memorial Park on Reef Road is available for this purpose.
