* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, northern Durham, Edgecombe, Franklin, Granville, Halifax, Nash, Orange, Vance, Warren and Wilson.
* WHEN...Until 945 PM EST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 716 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain, which may cause urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Rocky Mount, Chapel Hill, Roanoke Rapids, Henderson, Tarboro, Oxford, Hillsborough, Nashville, Creedmoor, Louisburg, Warrenton, Halifax, Wilson, Carrboro, Butner, Franklinton, Elm City, Norlina and Dortches.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Slow down and use caution to avoid hydroplaning
