Flood Advisory until 05:45AM Monday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, including the following county, Fairfield, northeast New Jersey, including the following counties, Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Union, and southeast New York, including the following counties, Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), Nassau, New York (Manhattan), Queens, Richmond (Staten Island), Rockland and Westchester.

* WHEN...Until 545 AM EST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated and may exceed flood stage.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 245 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall rates between 0.25 and 0.5 per hour are likely to continue for the next several hours. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Newark, Jersey City, Jamaica, Yonkers, Paterson, Elizabeth, Stamford, Flatbush, New Rochelle, Flushing, Passaic, Bayonne, White Plains, Wayne, Mott Haven, Hoboken, Plainfield, Bloomfield, East Tremont and Hackensack. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
