Please be advised that there are several roadways currently closed in the Township due to the storm and approximately 214 residences are without power due to a transformer fire.

The following roadways are currently affected:

1. Federal Road is closed between Perrineville Road and North Bergen Mills Road due to a tree and wires down.

2. Spotswood Englishtown Road is closed between Mounts Mills Road and Rue Road due to road flooding & a tree and wires down.

3. The traffic signal at the intersection of Spotswood Englishtown Road and Matchaponix Avenue is currently not functioning due to a power outage. The intersection is currently being controlled by temporary stop signs.

Please use caution while driving and avoid those roadways if possible. There is more rain on the way and additional road flooding is possible. JCP&L has been notified and they are responding. The power will be restored as soon as possible.

Safety Tips:
- Always assume that all downed power lines are live!
- If you come across a flooded roadway, please don't drive through it. Turn around and report it to the police department.
