* WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Backyard and low areas are protected by levees and the flood wall. Without the levees or if there is a breach in the levees, minor flooding will occur. At 30.0 feet, Main Street is protected by flap valves/sluice gates. This level triggers the gate closures to protect Main Street.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:15 AM EST Monday the stage was 26.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning to a crest of 31.6 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 28.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 31.7 feet on 12/21/1973. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
