Full Notification

Please be advised that Federal Road has been reopened between Perrineville Road and North Bergen Mills Road. The traffic signal at the intersection of Spotswood Englishtown Road and Matchaponix Avenue is now fully operational as well.

There are currently 25 residences in Monroe Township without power. JCP&L has been notified and they will be addressing this issue as soon as possible.

The following roadways are still closed:

1. Spotswood Englishtown Road is closed between Mounts Mills Road and Rue Road due to downed wires.

2. Route 33 is closed in both directions between Applegarth Road and Perrineville Road due to flooding.

3. Texas Road is closed between Matchaponix Avenue and Englishtown Road due to flooding.

4. Union Hill Road is closed between Englishtown Road and Pension Road due to flooding.

Please use caution while driving, follow posted detour signs and avoid those roadways if possible.

Safety Tips:
- Always assume that all downed power lines are live!
- If you come across a flooded roadway, please don't drive through it. Turn around and report it to the police department.
