Winter Weather Advisory until 01:00AM Wednesday

* WHAT...Blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 9 to 18 inches. Visibility as low as one half mile. Easterly winds gusting as high as 40 mph through Portage Valley.

* WHERE...East Turnagain Arm.

* WHEN...From 9 AM Tuesday to 1 AM AKST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Highest snow totals near Portage Valley, with lesser totals going west along Turnagain Arm. Winds will diminish late Tuesday evening, ending the threat of the half mile visibility conditions due to blowing snow.

* AFFECTED AREAS: EAST TURNAGAIN ARM
