Evansville man arrested on OWI charge. 
On December 18, 2023, at 6:22 p.m. Deputy Michael Owens conducted a traffic stop on a White 2021 Volvo on Crabtree Drive near Old US HWY 41. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Owens detected the strong odor of Marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. At that point Deputy Owens conducted a roadside drug investigation. At the conclusion of his investigation Deputy Owens placed the driver 43 year old Jeremy White of Evansville into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. He has since posted a $550 bond.
Assisting Deputy Owens in his investigation was Sgt. Loren Barchett and Princeton Officer David Jones.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
