Deputies Responding to Medical Aid Call Arrest Suspect for Obstructing and Resisting

INCIDENT: PC69(A) - Obstructing/Resisting an Officer
LOCATION: Clary Dr. and Lilly Hill Dr., Needles, Ca.
SUSPECT(S): Wendell Jackson, 46-years-od, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Monday, December 18, 2023, at approximately 2:14 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police responded to a report of a possible medical aid. When deputies arrived on scene, they made contact with Wendell Jackson. During the contact, Jackson became combative and attacked the deputies. Jackson attempted to swing and kick at deptuies, attacking them multiple times. Deputies detained Jackson and placed him under arrest.
Jackson was arrested and transported to the High Desert Detention Center, where he continued to assault deputies during transit. One deputy sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention.
Jackson was booked for PC 69- Obstructing/Resisting an Officer and remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $30,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
