Wilmington Police arrest 16-year-old male, recover stolen vehicle:
Wilmington Police have arrested a 16-year-old male and recovered a stolen vehicle.
On December 18 at approximately 7:45 a.m., police were dispatched to the 300 block of East 14th Street in reference to a vehicle that had just been stolen. Responding officers located the stolen vehicle in the 900 block of Wilson Street, and observed multiple juveniles fleeing from the car.
Police took the driver, a 16-year-old male, into custody following a foot pursuit, and he was found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana.
The 16-year-old male has been charged with the following offenses in addition to traffic violations:
- Theft of a Motor Vehicle
- Theft Under $1,500
- Possession of Marijuana
- Resisting Arrest
