The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of December 10, 2023 – December 16, 2023.        
 
December 10, 2023

• Burglary (Commercial):

2237 Huntington Drive (Duarte Smoke Shop). On December 10, 2023 at 3 AM, suspect unknown, a male white adult wearing a brown jacket, and a black hat with white writing on it, cut a hole through the roof and entered the location using a rope. The suspect ransacked the location and stole multiple rolls of lottery tickets. The loss was approximately $9,000. Surveillance video is available.
 

• Burglary (Vehicle):

2102 Buena Vista Street (Beardslee Park). On December 10, 2023 between 12 PM and 9 PM, suspect(s) unknown entered the victim’s locked vehicle, a 2015 Honda Civic, that was parked at the location. The suspect(s) stole her wallet from the center console. The loss was approximately $70. No surveillance video is available.
 

• Petty Theft (Shoplifting):

1600 Mountain Avenue (Walmart). On December 10, 2023 at 8 PM, the suspect, a female white adult, entered the location, shopped around and filled her basket with numerous items. The suspect exited the location without attempting to purchase the items and was detained by loss prevention. The loss was approximately $400. Surveillance video is available.
 
December 11, 2023

• Burglary (Commercial):

1420 Mountain Avenue (Best Buy). On December 11, 2023 at 2:06 AM, suspects unknown, two male adults wearing all black clothing, entered the location by cutting a hole through the exit door. The suspects ransacked the location and stole cell phones, PlayStation 5 consoles and other miscellaneous items. The loss was approximately $20,000. Surveillance video is available.
 

• Grand Theft Auto:

1800 Block of Earlington Avenue. Between December 10, 2023 11 PM and December 11, 2023 7:45 AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the victim's parked vehicle, a silver 2014 Scion TC. No surveillance video is available.

• Grand Theft:

1300 Block of Bloomdale Street. Between December 13, 2023 3 PM, and December 14, 2023 2 PM, suspect(s) unknown stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s parked vehicle, a silver 2006 Toyota Tacoma.  The loss was approximately $2,400. No surveillance video is available. 
 
December 15, 2023

• Grand Theft:

500 Block of Fairwood Street. Between December 13, 2023 11 PM and December 15, 2023 10 AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s parked vehicle, a grey 2020 Toyota Tacoma.  The loss was approximately $2,000. No surveillance video is available. 
 

• Petty Theft:

1600 Mountain Avenue (Walmart). On December 15, 2023 at 6:48 PM, the suspects, two unknown male white adults 25-30 years old, entered the location, went directly to the vision center and began to grab numerous pairs of “Ray Ban” sunglasses. The suspect exited the location without attempting to purchase the items and left out of view. The loss was approximately $3,800. Surveillance video is available.
