Blizzard Warning until 12:00PM Saturday

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 7 inches. Visibility of one quarter mile or less. Northeast to northwest winds gusting as high as 60 mph.

* WHERE...Bering Sea coast of the Alaska Peninsula, including the communities of False Pass, Cold Bay, and Nelson Lagoon.

* WHEN...From 6 AM Friday to noon AKST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on difficult travel conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will move in from the west late Thursday night, bringing the potential for blowing snow and visibility reductions after midnight. The south/Pacific side of the Alaska Peninsula (including King Cove, Sand Point, and Perryville) will likely not see visibility lower than one half mile due to weaker winds and warmer temperatures.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ALASKA PENINSULA

This will lead to whiteout conditions, making travel very hazardous. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you.If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle.
