**Active Law Enforcement Situation in the area of Woodcrest/Lansdowne** Update 12/21/2023 1:40PM 
Update: The situation on the 18900 block of Woodcrest is no longer an active scene. School lockdowns were lifted at approximately 12:10 pm.
Police Officers are on the scene of a shooting in the area of Woodcrest and Lansdowne in the City of Harper Woods. The suspect is not yet in custody. We have locked down several schools in the area as a precaution. False information is being spread that this incident is school-related. Locking down schools for an incident occurring nearby is standard procedure.
Please avoid the area of Kelly/Woodcrest/Lansdowne. If you reside in the area, shelter-in-place until we are satisfied the situation has been resolved.
