Residents and property owners are invited to two information sessions to learn more about Hoboken Renewable Energy Program changes and updates.
The sessions will be offered in both English and Spanish on:
On Nov. 15, 2023, a notice was sent to all Hoboken residents currently enrolled in the Hoboken Renewable Energy Program regarding the contract term expiration in December 2023 and program renewal on March 1, 2024. Current program participants will return to their previous service through PSE&G at the prevailing default rate from Jan.1, 2024 until March 1, 2024. Please note, that no action is required from residents currently enrolled in the Hoboken Renewable Energy Program as service through the PSE&G program and enrollment in the updated Hoboken Renewable Energy Program are automatic.
Additional information about the updated program will be mailed to residents in 2024. This will include a mailer with complete details of the new program, including the 100% renewable and minimum renewable options, frequently asked questions, and methods you can use to opt out of the program, should you wish not to participate.
PSE&G will also be sending additional notifications in the mail. This includes the following notifications:
- If you are a Budget Bill Customer with an Anniversary in December – A reconciliation amount will be charged/credited to zero in your account.
- If you used more energy than budgeted for – You will be charged for your usage over and above the amount that you were budgeted for.
- If you used less energy than budgeted for – A credit will be applied to future charges on your energy bill.
