The Green Bay man taken into custody by Green Bay Police as a suspect for the homicide in the 1700 block of Western Avenue on December 9, 2023, has been charged.
The Brown County District Attorney’s Office charged Owen Backus, 45, on December 21, 2023:
- 1st-Degree Intentional Homicide
- Bail Jumping - Misdemeanor
The identity of the victim, a 30-year-old Green Bay man, remains withheld per the request of family.
