Seasons Greeting Message from Gloucester Township Police Chief David Harkins:
"As we celebrate this holiday season we are thankful for the people who serve at the Gloucester Township Police Department. We look back at the past year and are proud of the work done to improve safety and public service to the community.
We are proud that we achieved the accreditation for our police department and dispatch center through the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police. We were the first agency in the state to achieve the accreditation for both at the same time. We also were proud to be the awarded the Comprehensive Officer Safety and Wellness award from the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, DC. These accomplishments are a testament to the high caliber of personnel that work at the Gloucester Township Police Department. The Officers, Dispatchers, Civilian Staff, Volunteers, and Chaplains are dedicated professionals of service to the Gloucester Township Community. We will continue to be “Dedicated to Service” and “Committed to Excellence” as we go into 2024.
We again are in awe of the incredible support we receive from residents who deliver kind words, cards, cookies, and food to the hard working men and women of the Gloucester Township Police Department during this holiday season. This kindness brings the joy of the holidays to our officers and dispatchers.
