On December 22, 2023, Middle Township Police Chief Jen Pooler proudly announces the official opening of the new Rio Grande Substation, reinforcing the department's commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.

The new substation is strategically located at the County Commons, 3801 Route 9 S, Unit 7, Rio Grande, New Jersey, adjacent to the Cape Square Entertainment Center. This strategic placement allows the department to better serve and protect the southern portion of Middle Township, further enhancing their responsiveness to the needs of the community.

Chief Jen Pooler expressed her enthusiasm about the new facility, stating, "The opening of the Rio Grande Substation allows us to continue to maintain a strong presence in the Rio Grande area and is a testament to our dedication to community safety. This location will enable us to provide more efficient and accessible services to the residents of the southern part of Middle Township.
