Incident Summary
 
On 12/22/2023 at approximately 8:05 PM, the Petaluma Police Department Dispatch Center received a 911 call from a victim reporting a family member and her had just been robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of the Petaluma Village Premium Outlets Shopping Center.
 
Petaluma Police Department officers responded to the scene and contacted two victims. They reported they had parked their vehicle in the parking lot of the shopping center near the entrance to the shopping center, when a male suspect got in the back seat of the vehicle and pointed a gun at both victims and demanded their belongings. Both victims complied after they were repeatedly threatened by the suspect.
 
The suspect then exited the vehicle and fled the area in an unknown direction. Petaluma officers thoroughly canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
 
The victims described the suspect as being a black male adult in his thirties, who was wearing a black mask that covered the lower portion of his face, a black baseball hat, and a dark colored jacket.
 
The victims described the firearm as being a black semi-automatic handgun.
 
The investigation is on-going, and the Petaluma Police Department is asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have information that may be helpful to contact Officer Sawyer Johnson at [email protected] or 707-781-1270.
