Needles Police Issues Warning to Residents About Vehicle Thefts and Asks All to Report Suspicious Activity Immediately

LOCATION: Needles, CA
SUMMARY: Recently, there has been an increase in vehicle thefts in the city of Needles with criminals specifically targeting Kia vehicles. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activity immediately to the Sheriff’s Department and ensure vehicles are locked, keys are accounted for, and alarms are activated.
Other measures such as security cameras and parking in well lit areas is encouraged to deter criminal activity. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department would like the public's assistance as well. If you see someone breaking into a vehicle, please report the incident immediately. Be a good witness and get a good description of the person. Do not attempt to make contact with the person. If you see a suspicious person in your neighborhood, get a good description, and notify Sheriff's Dispatch at (909)387-8313.
