* WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including the following counties, Burke and McDowell.
* WHEN...Until 600 PM EST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 218 PM EST, Locally excessive runoff will continue for the rest of the afternoon in parts of the upper Catawba basin. Remain wary of lingering high water conditions or low-lying flooding near the Catawba River and select tributaries. - Some locations that may experience lingering flooding include... Morganton, Marion, Salem, Glen Alpine, Old Fort, Lake James, Lake James State Park, Nebo, Glenwood, Fero, Pleasant Gardens, Woodlawn, Dysartsville, Sugar Hill and Thermal City. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
