Police Seek Help Identifying Shooting Suspects

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured suspects in connection with a shooting that occurred on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.
 
At approximately 12:30 a.m., Police responded to the 300 block of Halsey Street on a call of shots fired. Responding officers did not locate a victim and no injuries have been reported. However, one spent shell casing was located on the street.
 
Detectives investigating this incident are requesting the public’s help to quickly identify the suspects.
Suspect #1 is described as a short male wearing a red winter jacket with light-colored jeans and white Jordan sneakers. Suspect #2 is described as a female with a light complexion and curly hair. She was wearing a black jacket and black pants with white/red Jordan Brand sneakers. Suspect #3 is described as a tall, thin-built male wearing a blue jacket, a black ski mask, dark pants, and black sneakers. The three suspects were last seen heading southbound on Halsey Street toward Lincoln Park.
 
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the identity of any of these suspects to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
