Wilmington Police have arrested a male juvenile on gun charges.
On December 23, at approximately 3:07 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division were in the 200 block of West 36th Street, when they observed a male juvenile acting in a suspicious manner. Officers made contact with a 12-year-old male juvenile who was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun. The 12-year-old male juvenile was taken into custody without incident.
The 12-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Two Counts
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released on $15,000 unsecured bail.
