INCIDENT: Suspicious Circumstances
LOCATION: 62000 Crestview Drive, Joshua Tree
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, December 26, 2023, deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station responded to the 62000 block of Crestview Drive in Joshua Tree for possible military ordnances located during construction at a residence.
Deputies arrived and determined the objects were in fact military ordnances. As a safety precaution, the Sheriff's Bomb/Arson Division along with MCAGCC Explosive Ordnance Disposal team responded.
Ultimately, MCAGCC Explosive Ordnance Disposal team took possession of the items and removed them from the residential area. No further military equipment or ordnances were located. A report was taken for documentation.
