* WHERE...Portions of central and northern New Jersey, including the following counties, in central New Jersey, Mercer and Monmouth. In northern New Jersey, Middlesex, Morris, Somerset and Sussex.

* WHEN...Until 630 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1225 AM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly across portions of the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Morristown, Somerville, Newton, Montague, Somerset, Edison, Old Bridge, East Brunswick, South Brunswick and Sayreville. - This includes the following highways... New Jersey Turnpike between exits 8 and 13. Interstate 287 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 14...and between mile markers 29 and 53. Interstate 78 in New Jersey between mile markers 36 and 42. Interstate 195 in New Jersey between mile markers 7 and 16.
