This is a message from the Fairfield Office of Emergency Management.
We are currently monitoring the river levels, which are expected to crest at 20.2 feet on Friday at 11pm. We are not expecting major roadway impacts at this time and will continue to monitor our river levels.
Please refrain from putting flood damage items out for pickup unless instructed to do so by the Office of Emergency Management.
Additional messaging will be provided as necessary. For the latest information on road closings, please go to the Township of Fairfield’s website at www.fairfieldnj.org. You can also call the Township’s flood hotline at (201) 522-9267 during normal business hours.
The Office of Emergency Management attempts to provide our community with the best available flood information that it can, based upon current and historical data. However, because each potential flood is different, how it impacts the areas of town may also be different.
