Wilmington Police have arrested three males on gun and drug charges.
On December 25, at approximately 12:40 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 2800 block of North Tatnall Street, in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the driver – 18-year-old Karron Harrigan, 19-year-old Nazir Cassidy, and a 16-year-old male juvenile. Following a brief investigation, Karron Harrigan, Nazir Cassidy, and the 16-year-old male juvenile were taken into custody without incident. Police recovered a loaded .40 caliber handgun, 161 grams of marijuana, and $1,243.
Karron Harrigan has been charged with the following offense in addition to traffic violations:
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released on his own recognizance.
Nazir Cassidy has been charged with the following charges:
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $30,100 secured bail.
The 16-year-old male juvenile was processed on his outstanding warrant and released on $100 unsecured bail.
