1. Train vs Pedestrian Fatality (0630) 2900 Block Auto Center Circle, Valley Oak District
Officers responded to the UPRR railroad tracks behind the location and located a female subject who had been struck by a train, medical personnel pronounced her deceased at the scene.
2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (0940) 1600 Block East Washington Street, Park District
The male victim, 30 reported as he exited his vehicle he was shot by the suspect. The suspect then fled in a vehicle. It appears the victim was shot with a flare gun and sustained only minor injuries and declined medical. SUSPECT: Hispanic male adult.
3. Resisting Arrest (1005) Essex Street and El Dorado Street, Civic District
Officers attempted to stop a suspect wanted for outstanding warrants. The suspect refused officers and was tased before being taken into custody. ARRESTED: Ladarryl Simms, 32, for resisting arrest and felony warrants.
4. Robbery (1049) 700 Block of West Hammer Lane, Lakeview District
The female victim, 45 was working at an area business. The victim attempted to stop the suspects from shoplifting and when she confronted them she was pepper sprayed in the face. SUSPECTS:
Hispanic male adult and Hispanic female adult.
5. Resisting Arrest (1240) 4400 Block of La Cresta Way, Valley Oak District
Officers responded to the area on the report of a disturbance. They contacted the suspect who had multiple warrants for her arrest. When officers attempted to take her into custody she resisted and was forced to the ground. ARRESTED: Thalia Lopez, 28 for resisting arrest and warrants charges.
