Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a female Black adult in the city of Hawthorne.
Officers from the Hawthorne Police Department responded to the 14100 block of Crenshaw Boulevard in the city of Hawthorne regarding a shots fired call for service.
The incident occurred on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at approximately 12:27 AM.
Upon arriving on scene, officers found a male Hispanic victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived on scene and transported the male Hispanic victim to a local hospital where he is listed under stable condition.
Upon further investigation, Hawthorne Police Officers learned there were additional victims who suffered from gunshot wounds at the location. These additional victims were transported by other means to surrounding hospitals.
One of the victims, a female Black adult, was pronounced deceased at a local hospital. Three additional victims are listed in stable condition and one victim is in critical condition.
There is no suspect in custody and no suspect information available.
The investigation is ongoing, and currently, there is no additional information available.
