Narrative: | |||||
On 12/31/2023, at approximately 12:05 a.m., Thousand Oaks Deputies responded to 2011 Los Feliz Drive regarding a female laying in the parking lot with injuries. Multiple deputies, the Ventura County Fire Department and paramedics also responded. Sheila Pluntke (12/16/39) was found with injuries consistent with being struck by a motor vehicle. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased by responding medical personnel. The reporting party that originally made the 911 call did not witness the collision. Thousand Oaks Traffic Bureau investigators responded to the scene and located evidence that suggests the deceased was struck by a vehicle in the center of a small parking lot, just to the west of 2015 Los Feliz Drive. The evidence suggests the vehicle that struck Sheila was traveling southbound through the parking lot, toward Los Feliz Drive. The collision is being investigated as a Hit and Run. If anyone has any information relating to the collision, please contact Sergeant Matt Ogonowski at the Thousand Oaks Traffic Bureau. |
