INCIDENT: Fatal Hit and Run Traffic Collision

On Monday, January 1st, 2024, at 1:27 AM, Pomona Police Officers responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian hit and run traffic collision at Garey Ave and Center St. Upon arrival, officers located the victim down in the roadway suffering from critical injuries. Pomona PD officers and LA County Fire Department personnel treated the victim on-scene; she was ultimately transported to a nearby hospital where she unfortunately succumbed to her injuries and passed away.
The involved driver fled the collision scene.
