Winter Storm Warning - Extended 
...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM MONDAY TO 4 PM HAST TUESDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 8 inches. Winds gusting as high as 70 mph. Visibility reduced to one half mile or less at times.
* WHERE...Central Aleutians.
* WHEN...From 7 PM Monday to 4 PM HAST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on difficult travel conditions. The combination of heavy snow and wind could significantly reduce visibility. Very strong winds could damage property and cause power outages.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... The onset of snow and elevated winds has
been delayed as the low's track has trended slower. For Adak, a
heavy, wet snow is expected with temperatures between 34 and 37
degrees. A mix with rain is possible at times tonight. If this
occurs, snow amounts will be less. For Atka, precipitation is
expected to start as snow this afternoon, then change over to
rain as warmer air works in this evening and temperatures rise
into the upper 30s. A changeover back to snow is possible for
Tuesday as the storm moves by to the east and colder air works
back in on the backside of the system. The highest snow amounts
are expected for Adak.
