Burglary at 37 North Main Street, Mercersburg, PA on 01/01/2024 between 6:30 & 6:40 p.m. Nothing reported stolen. 
The victim was in the dining room on the first floor of the residence, when she heard something fall over in the basement. The victim went to the basement and saw some items were knocked down at the outside basement door. Upon arriving at the basement door, the victim heard someone outside on the steel basement door.
The victim went up to the first floor and went outside on the porch where the victim observed a older white/light colored small car, similar to a Honda Civic. The victim heard one door shut on the vehicle and observed two individuals in the vehicle. The dome light inn the vehicle was on, and the driver was trying to turn the dome light out as he pulled out and began travelling south on North Main Street.
Nothing was stolen from the basement.
