Police Seek Help Locating Man Wanted for Questioning in Shooting
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in locating Quran Bey, 33, who is wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting that occurred on April 8, 2023.
Newark Police responded to University Hospital on a report that a male walked in with a gunshot wound. Police later determined that the shooting occurred in the 100 block South 9th Street.
Detectives investigating this incident have obtained surveillance video that identifies Bey as a person of interest.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of Quran Bey, to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
