Police Seek Help Identifying Shooting Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé seeks the public’s assistance in identifying the below-pictured suspect in connection with a shooting that occurred on Monday, December 25, 2023.
At approximately 8:20 p.m., Police responded to a shooting that occurred at 18th Avenue and Irvine Turner Boulevard. Detectives investigating this incident describe the suspect as a Black male with braided hair wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white drawstrings, blue distressed jeans, and black shoes.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the identity of this suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
