* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 8 inches except up to 12 inches above 8000 feet in the Northern Mountains.

* WHERE...Northern Mountains, Sandia and Manzano Mountains including Edgewood, Glorieta Mesa Including Glorieta Pass, Johnson and Bartlett Mesas Including Raton Pass, and Union County.

* WHEN...From 5 AM Thursday to 6 AM MST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Tire chains may be necessary if traveling through mountain passes. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes.
