NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
Areas of the Valley Forge National Historical Park will be closed to the public from approximately 1:00 p.m. Thursday January 4, 2024, through approximately 3:00 p.m., Thursday January 4, 2024. All times are local and subject to change based on operational needs.
The closed area includes the following areas: portions of North Outer Line Road, South Outer Line Road, the Joseph Plumb Martin trail, and Gulph Road and surrounding areas as depicted in the map below, including the Park’s Administrative Parking Lot, and the Muhlenberg Hut area. A map illustrating the closed park area, and the anticipated closed District area, is attached.
This closure will also affect the Park’s designated First Amendment area at the National Memorial Arch, which will be moved temporarily to the Wayne’s Woods Picnic Area on South Outer Line Drive. This relocation will allow for permitted and unpermitted demonstration activities as defined in 36 C.F.R. § 2.51 and 36 C.F.R. § 2.52. The location of this temporary relocation is consistent with other First Amendment areas within the park.
