Wilmington Police have arrested three males on gun, drug, and robbery charges.
On December 25, at approximately 11:46 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 2400 block of North Claymont Street, in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, the victim advised they had been robbed at gunpoint by multiple suspects. The case was assigned to Detective Kevin Murphy of the Criminal Investigations Division.
Through the course of his investigation, Detective Murphy identified 26-year-old Michael Sanders and 21-year-old Shalier Graham as suspects. On December 28, police executed a search warrant in the 2600 block of Bowers Street, and took Michael Sanders into custody without incident. Subsequently, members of the Safe Streets Task Force and Gun Intelligence Unit conducted a vehicle stop in the unit block of Court Drive, and took Shalier Graham and a 16-year-old male juvenile into custody without incident. Following a brief investigation, officers recovered a loaded .380 handgun, a loaded MAC-10 style 9mm handgun, .9 grams of crack cocaine, and .126 grams of heroin.
Michael Sanders has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Robbery (First Degree)
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $122,000 cash-only bail.
Shalier Graham has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Robbery (First Degree)
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $122,000 cash-only bail.
The 16-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Four Counts
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon – Two Counts
- Receiving a Stolen Firearm
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – Two Counts
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the New Castle County Juvenile Detention Center on $143,500 cash-only bail.
