THIS IS THE FINAL NOTICE USING THE NIXLE ALERT SYSTEM
 
Beginning on January 1, 2024, the Carlstadt Office of Emergency Management will no longer be using the Nixle Alert System for emergency notifications and alerts to the residents. We have implemented a new system, Rave Alert. We are asking that everyone please register with the new alert system as it is designed to better serve the residents.
 
Please go to :  www.smart911.com to register. You may have to type the web address into your web browser.
 
This system will allow for Text, Email, and Voice alerts and can be set up for different languages, depending on YOUR preferences. Please sign up today.


You will also have the option as to what alerts you receive and how you receive them. The current alerts are:

• Non-Emergency Alerts - Various alerts not covered by other alerts that are non-emergent.    
• Borough Weather Alerts  - Alerts about the weather that may not be covered by NWS alerts. These alerts will have safety messages included.         
• Library Events - Information about various events happening at the Carlstadt Public Library.     
• Borough Events - Information about various events happening within the Borough of Carlstadt             
• Holiday Changes & Closures - Be notified of any changes to borough services due to a holiday.            
• Road Closure Alerts - Sign up here to receive notifications regarding road closures in the Borough of Carlstadt.            
• Severe Weather Notifications: Please Opt-in to receive automated text/email and voice notifications of Severe Weather events for Bergen County from the National Weather Service. Life threatening weather events such as Tornado Warnings, Severe Thunderstorms and Flash Flood Warnings. THIS ALERT IS NOT COTROLED BY THE CARLSTADT OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANGEMENT AND ALERTS CAN BE SENT 24 HOURS A DAY.       

Non-Severe Weather Notifications: Please Opt-in to receive automated text/email and voice notifications for Non-Severe Weather events for Bergen County from the National Weather Service. Messages will be sent from 8AM to 8PM. THESE ALERTS ARE NOT CONTROLED BY THE CARLSTADT OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
