Essex County Sheriff’s Crime Stoppers Program Offers Up to $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the fatal shooting of Imam Hassan Sharif, of Newark.
On January 3, at approximately 6:15 A.M., Imam Hassan Sharif was fatally shot multiple times outside of the Masjid Muhammad-Newark Mosque, located on South Orange Avenue and Camden Street in Newark. Officials say they do not believe the shooting was motivated by bias or domestic terrorism.
