Wilmington Police have arrested a wanted man on drug charges.
On January 1, at approximately 11:15 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division were in the 1200 block of West 4th Street, when they observed a wanted subject. Police made contact with 21-year-old Nhyjee Evans, who was taken into custody without incident and found to be in possession of 3.8 grams of crack cocaine.
Evans has been charged with the following offense in addition to his outstanding warrant:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending further proceedings.
