* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 6 inches. Isolated higher amounts possible. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of north central Kansas and central, east central, and south central Nebraska.
* WHEN...From 6 AM Monday to 9 AM CST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult, especially Monday afternoon through Monday night. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches and lead to blowing and drifting snow and poor visibility.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of light to moderate snow, possibly mixed with rain along and south of the Nebraska, Kansas state line, will develop Monday morning. Snow will become widespread and heavy, at times, Monday afternoon and evening. Winds will increase substantially from the north Monday evening and overnight, with gusts of 35 to 45 MPH causing blowing and drifting snow and poor visibility that will continue past dawn Thursday morning.
