Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help identifying the below-pictured male suspect in an auto burglary incident that occurred on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
At approximately 9:30 a.m., Police in the 100 block of Halsey Street were flagged down by a victim who reported that he found the driver’s side window of his parked 2009 Dodge SUV ransacked and his iPhone and Air pods stolen.
Detectives investigating this incident describe the suspect as Black, wearing a black face mask, a black puffy coat featuring the lettering “Moncler”, black pants, and white sneakers with black trim.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
