The National Weather Service has been tracking the systems that will be coming into our area Tuesday, January 9^th in the evening.
 

• Heavy Rain/Flooding. 1-3 inches expected, with some areas receiving up to 4 inches. Moderate to major river flooding possible. Urban and small stream flooding possible. Heaviest rain will occur Tuesday night. River flooding risk continues through Wednesday and beyond. Burlington County OEM has spoken to the National Weather Service and the Rancocas Creek will be a concern for flooding.
• Wind. Strong to damaging south to southeast winds possible. Tree damage and power outages possible, especially closer to the coast. Inland areas may see gusts 40-50 mph, while coastal areas may see 55-65 mph gusts. The winds will start Tuesday afternoon, but the strongest winds will be Tuesday night.
• Marine. Storm-force winds probable in the Atlantic coastal waters with dangerous seas building to 15-20 feet starting Tuesday afternoon into the evening, but there will still be high seas and gale warnings into Wednesday.
• Coastal Flooding. There is a potential for widespread minor to moderate coastal flooding along the Atlantic coastline and the tidal Delaware River that will start Tuesday afternoon and last until Wednesday. The is a large concern for the Delaware River near Burlington City to reach moderate flooding stage.

• Coastal Flood Watch from Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday.

• Spotty minor Coastal Flood Threat from Tuesday at noon until Wednesday 7pm.
• High Wind Watch for Tuesday night.
