There is a rain and wind storm expected on Tuesday 1/9/24.  Rain is expected to begin between 11 AM and 2 PM.  Temperatures and winds will rise as the the day progresses.  A total of 2 to 4 inches of rain is expected, in addition to the current snow pack melt from the weekend storm.  Sustained winds from 15 to 30 mph, with gusts from 40 to 50 mph are expected Tuesday night.  Expect flooding on Route 46 and other roadways in surrounding jurisdictions.  Please avoid driving through standing water when the depth is unknown.  Avoid downed lines from utility poles.  Assume all lines are energized, even if they are not power lines.  If you lose power, please report the outage to JCP&L via the app, website - https://www.firstenergycorp.com/outages_help/Report_Power_Outages.html, or by calling 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877).  As always, if you are experiencing an emergency dial 9-1-1.
