INCIDENT: PC 594(B)(1) - Felony Vandalism
LOCATION: 20 Block of E Street, Havasu Lake, CA
SUSPECT(S): Craig Vitro, 53-Years-Old, Resident of Havasu Lake, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Saturday, January 6, 2024, at approximately 10:53 a.m., deputies responded to a call for service near the 20 block of E Street for a report of a vandalism. When deputies arrived on scene, Craig Vitro became uncooperative with deptuies and tried to reach for a weapon on the kitchen counter. Deputies deployed a taser and after a brief struggle, Craig Vitro was taken into custody.
Vitro was consequently arrested for PC 594(B)(1)- Felony Vandalism and transported to a nearby hospital for a medical screening. Vitro was cleared from the hospital and was transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Vitro remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $30,000.00, pending a court hearing.
