This message is being provided by the City of Hermosa Beach
FEMA (IPAWS), along with the FCC, will test our national emergency notification system to all active cell phones. No action is needed from the City or its residents before, during, or after the test. The Emergency Alert Test will be conducted on January 9th, 2024 at approximately 11:20am (PST). Cell towers will broadcast the test for approximately 30 minutes, however, all wireless devices will receive the notification only once.
Recommended Actions: If you have not done so already, we advise you sign-up for Regional Alerts and Warning Notifications at Everbridge.
