A winter storm will impact the region bringing heavy snow and strong, gusty winds tonight through Tuesday night. The highest impacts will be across eastern Iowa into southern and central Wisconsin, but snow is likely area-wide. Travel will be most impacted on Tuesday due to the falling snow and increasing winds.

• What: Snow with 6+" expected along and south of Interstate 90 - locally higher possible over parts of northeast Iowa into central WI (a foot plus!). North winds gusting 30 to 40 mph Tuesday afternoon and night. 
• Where: Area-wide - highest impacts across northeast Iowa and southwest into central Wisconsin. 
• Timing: Tonight through Tuesday night
• Potential Impacts: Slippery to dangerous travel. Reduced visibilities at times. Blowing and drifting snow in open areas. Power outages are possible.
