The Oak Grove Emergency Snow Ordinance is automatically in effect due to all area roads being covered by ice or at least two inches of snow.

The Emergency Snow Ordinance requires that any vehicles currently parked on marked emergency snow routes be moved off the street until further notice and prohibits parking on the snow routes until further notice.

If your vehicle is parked on a street that is not on a Marked Emergency Snow Route, it will greatly assist snow removal if it can be moved off the street.

Also, any vehicle being operated in Oak Grove that become stuck or impedes traffic, and is not equipped with snow tires or chains may be ticketed and/or towed at the owner's expense.

It is our advice during this storm to remain home, unless travel is absolutely essential. If you must travel, take along a charged mobile phone, and an emergency kit including extra clothing and blankets, and stick to main routes.
