The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a
 
* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Habersham County in northeastern Georgia...
  Rabun County in northeastern Georgia...
 
* Until 300 PM EST.
 
* At 1016 AM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
  3.5 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or
  expected to begin shortly. Despite rain diminishing this
  afternoon, locally excessive runoff will linger, resulting in
  flooding of low-lying areas throughout the Highway 441 corridor.
  Developing flooding is also expected along the Soque River which
  will inundate Pitts City Park.
 
  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
 
  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
 
  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
 
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
