Weather Alert: 1/9/24 and 1/10/24
The expected high winds may result in downed trees and power lines. Please have flashlights available and electronics charged. In the event of power outages and if you choose to operate a generator, please do so safely. Please refer to the BTPD Facebook page for tips on safe generator operation.
In the event there is a power outage at your residence, use the following for reporting and updates from JCP&L:
To report an outage: Text OUT to 544487 (LIGHTS). If you're not enrolled in text messaging, text REG to 544487 to get started. To receive the latest update for your reported outage: Text STAT to 544487
For residents that live along the coast and would like to move their vehicles to mitigate the risk of flooding, the lower lot in front of the Central Regional Middle School can be used for parking over night.

A weather message from the Berkeley Township Office of Emergency Management:
Residents can expect the following storm/extreme weather starting Tuesday (1/9/24) afternoon thru Wednesday (1/10/24).
- 1-3” of rain
- Strong winds with gusts along the coast reaching 55-65mph.
- Minor to moderate coastal flooding
